The Marine Corps’ Amphibious Combat Vehicle program reached another milestone, proving the vehicle’s ability to deliver future combat power from ship to shore and follow-on objectives. Program Executive Officer Land Systems recently completed testing on the ACV, which proved the new vehicles' ability to not only take on challenging surf, but also complete a long swim from ship to shore and back.

The guy in the center who is relaying the orders to the unit is a Ukrainian marine who is currently embedded with his US counterparts. A buddy of mine. Still cannot believe he learnt English that well enough by watching movies and TV shows, and playing multi-player video games. He was also one of the few Ukrainian marines who didn't betray the oath and left everything behind in Crimea. His wife also serves in the marines as a combat medic. To complicate matters further, his parents became refugees when the Russians took over parts of Luhansk region. Since 2014 he has been in hell, on and off the battlefield. A year in the USA is like a paid vacation for him
