USOF operated from Erbil (700 clicks away) and not Incirlik ((main NATO base and closer to the operational area; 150 click away)

It is unclear if Turkey was involved in the operation in any way except maybe deconfliction process

Smells fishy in regard to turkish relationship with ISIS leader (or at least some part of its intelligence services)
