Marches to maintain endurance - maintaining the ability to walk long distances. 5th Battalion, 21st Podhale Rifles Brigade, Bieszczady Mountains, April 2024
New uniforms and individual equipment were developed as part of the ZISW "Tytan" program (ZISW - Advanced Individual Combat System).
Currently, in units of the 18th Mechanized Division (mainly in the 5th Battalion, 21st Podhale Rifles Brigade). The items targeted for testing include uniforms and personal equipment, such as: new helmets and ballistic vests with pouches. New elements of uniforms and equipment have been developed at MASKPOL in a new camouflage tentatively called "Lampart" ("Leopard"), which may replace the old wz.93 "Pantera" ("Panther") camouflage.
The camouflage was developed at WITI (Military Institute of Engineering Technology) and sent for testing in two variants (green dominant and brown dominant) and perhaps a decision will be made to produce the warming elements in the "autumn" variant.
This is my subjective feeling, but the camouflage reminds me of the Finnish M05 camouflage. The uniform set includes new items, including: insulating jackets (with synthetic down), which have been missing so far.
The tests were supposed to last a year and are now coming to an end. I hope for the quick introduction of new types - primarily helmets and ballistic vests.
