PS elements 14. I'm cheap, don't like paying a subscription. If you check charity shops, different versions of Elements can still be found that someone bought and never ended up using the software. I started on version 7.
The secret for most people seems to be to add color one layer at a time. If you use multlple layers it is much easier to adjust colors. It just takes practice.
The original program to color them sort of fell apart. There were at least a dozen people doing the pics for the program. If you do searches you will find it hard to find the pics that weren't done by the guy who was 'organizing' the volunteers. The original B&W pics are still on the One Show page. One of these days I'm going to try and do a few more...
