When I was just a kid I would pass the local music shop after school and drag my nose across the plate glass window trying to get a good look at the new Gibson Fire Bird. I finally went in one day and looked at it and I think the price then was like 259 dollars. A fantastic beautiful guitar that had a Turquoise Fire Bird inlaid on the neck at the top. Couldn't find a photo that dated the 57 - 58 model because the head end was more conventional and had the Turquoise Fire Bird, not etched on the white trim as this photo has. I nagged for a long time and finally got a 75 dollar Sears Silvertone, amplifier in the case. Not a bad guitar for a kid.
The Silvertone is showing 665 to 855 and up , I should have kept that old guitar ;0(
I hate to think what the Gibson would be today ;0)
Here's for a humorous screenshot … I was firing up Arma 3 again after a long phase of abstinence, and lo and behold what strange scene I happened across! Any guesses as to what those Russians were doing with all those household appliances?
