RN:
Battleship HMS Erin in a floating dry dock,1918. The location may be Invergordon, Scotland (UK). In the left foreground are several old warships employed as barracks and for other stationary support duties. The one furthest right may be HMS Algiers (formerly HMS Triumph of 1873). That at the far left, with two smokestacks closely spaced side-by-side, may be HMS Mars
RN:
Centaur class aircraft carrier HMS Hermes (R12) and Audacious-class HMS Eagle (R05) pictured together at Gibraltar in December 1969. Both ships had participated in Exercise Decamp during November.
Centuar class HMS Hermes (R12) alongside No. 6 Wharf HM Dockyard Devonport with Audacious-class HMS Ark Royal (R09) either coming or going. No date given but Hermes is in her commando carrier (LPH) role which makes this the 1970s.
France:
Aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle (R91) leaving Toulon, France - November 28, 2024. Charles de Gaulle (R91) will deploy to the Indo-Pacific by the end of the year with the deployment named Mission Clemenceau 25.
USSR
The Soviet cruiser Ordzhonikidze at Portsmouth 1956. During her time here, 'Buster' Crabb dived in the harbour on a recon of the cruiser and disappeared.
