Collins is arrogant. She just won't win. They needed someone without baggage and some thoughtful policies. Act has taken alot of their votes with a few thoughful policies depite having quite a few daft policies.... They want to return building inspections back to the private sector siting leaky buildings when those buildings were consented by pirate sector when that was allowed and was the reason for the public sector doing it. Things like that yadda yadda dogma the private sector is always better.
They could have done a deal with NZ First last election quite easily but because of their arrogance they didn't not saying Peters isn't arrogant but really they should have sorted it out and consequently Peters party is history and national will loose a second time.
I voted Act purely on the gun thing because of political arrogance from the entire arrogant political cabal in NZ. Proved they were all Bullshit when they say they will listen to the voters.
No tears from me.

The economic fallout from covid and no more room to fake the economy with low interest rates will disenfranchise all talk and more refugeess Jacinda.

The amount of bribery from National was shocking. Basically 3 thousand NZ $ to anyone who will vote for them if they win. Desperate. But clearly show they just aren't up to it.
Here's and example of one policy I did think was good. NZ is suppose to be the leader in world pasture farming.. under Jacinda they send rye grass the basis of our economy for testing in the US! as our science here was gutted. National says they would fix that but it was them that gutted it.
Both parties prattle on about research curing cows from farting saving billions in looming carbon credits costs but have done nothing.

There is a slim chance Act may save national. ALL in my family voted Act for various reasons and the first time to do so. The Act leader did dancing with the stars. The TV show where they dance to win the adoration of the public. Its usually a sign of pending political bereavement but he bounced back from that.

NZ First in all probability Fs up national a second time.

By the way, Collins. Nickname crusher form her days as yes minister of police approving crushing of street racing cars was completely supportive of gun crushing and registrations. She has done a light U turn on that. Now wouldn't support a registration but fine with crushing them all.

Yes. Act been going since the early 90's and was in a slow death spiral ever since. Non on the libtard press saw this renaissance coming. That a party could come up with some practical ideas and people would vote for them.
Problem with many of them is they are full time politicians or bloody lawyers as a resume. But if they support the libtard agenda they can do what ever.

Yeah, I would rather see them govern alone for two reasons 1. As you mention to get rid of the Greens and 2. So they are left to carry the can for the state of the country and not blame it on a weak coalition.
If anyone else were to win they would be getting a first term of just unfu*king what the current Govt has managed to do.
