To my knowledge he never made contradictory statements like never having met any of them yet being on photos hugging them and claiming not to sweat. That interview alone implicates that there is more to the story even if some of the alleged victims are trying to get money out of it.

Although the President can be sued daily in his governmental capacity, he normally is not sued in his personal capacity as being personally liable.
The SC litigated on the matter in 1982, 1997 and 2020, with the final one establishing that the President is subject to subpoenas in criminal prosecutions for personal conduct with the same legal threshold as anyone else.

There's no rule that says that both parties involved can't be dirtbags. Happens in crime quite a bit.

Andrew giving her money makes sense from a legal point of view because trials, even when successful, are extremely expensive for the defendant in a civil case. On the other hand, it's a terrible PR move because because it would make him look guilty to the majority of the public who don't know how civil cases work or how expensive they are.
