Why do companies give their combat vehicles e.g. headlights that look like they're borrowed from a concept car or movie prop? Do they do this to entice generals into buying their stuff? Is it done to impress the members of parliament who have to grant the funding?

The 6-year-old has autism, will try to hide when seeing strangers and won't reply if his name is called out, so they're bringing in all kinds of tech to aid the many hundreds looking for the poor child.
