At the beginning of April 2020, 6 men from the 1e RI started a two months course training/selection course for the Regiment's STE (section tireurs d'élite) Sniper Section. At the end of the course two of them will be admitted into the ranks of the STE.

New French Army "Jaguar" armored reconnaissance vehicle.

The "Jaguar" is set to replace the AMX 10RC, ERC 90 and the VAB HOT.
It is 6wheel driven, has a crew of three, weighs 25 tons measures 7,8m X 3m X 2,8m.
Weapons: 40mm gun, 7,62mm MG and medium range (3500m) guided missiles.
