"This particular jet is now buried at Mount Pleasant Airport, Falkland Islands."

"Buried" please explain this one...?? How's it buried??
After decommissioning the F-4 of the 29 Squadron RAF stationed at Stanley base and from 1985 Mount Pleasant base, I suspect that the planes were not transferred to Great Britain (especially since the British bought the ex-American F-4J for the 29th Squadron in place of those sent to the Falklands). One of this planes is on display at Mount Pleasant Airport.

Okay mate.....that clears it up. I took you at face value when you said "buried" at Stanley and I'd sure never heard about an F4 buried in the Falklands!! By "buried" you mean on display....it's all in the terminology!

Unfortunately, there is no mistake here, 1 plane from the F-4 has been left in its entirety as an exhibition. Other scrapped insitu at Mount Pleasant Airport and buried when Tornados took over. It was August 1992. I don't think any F-4s other than that for the exhibition were spared and returned to the UK.
Sorry for my English, I hope I have made myself clear now.
