There were plans to buy some, in order to have a MiG-25-class aircraft. But this was abandoned.

Following the tsunami warning on April 3 on the Japanese island of Okinawa, F-15Js from Naha air base were moved to higher areas to prevent possible damage, providing curious images of the aircraft lined up on the base's internal roads.
These types of procedures are regularly trained at the base to prevent similar situations.
