Rapid Rifles Exercise
On Sunday, September 19, the soldiers of the Jindřichův Hradec Battalion began a fourteen-day tactical exercise of the "RAPID RIFLES" battalion in the Boletice Military District. There are more than five hundred soldiers and almost one hundred and seventy pieces of equipment in the field.
The "Rapid Rifles" tactical exercise was launched by the commander of the 44th Light Motorized Battalion, Lt. Col. Jakub Kábele with the arrival of all units on Sunday evening in the military district of Boletice.

"Rapid Rifles" will examine the 44th Light Motorized Battalion in all its activities (planning, moving the battalion, conducting rapid attacks on enemy positions and many other activities), which represent the culmination of several years of training of staff, maneuvering and security units. The whole operation is designed so that its course is as close as possible to real combat situations. To achieve the reality of the situation, soldiers use a tactical combat simulator (TSS) from SAAB. Thanks to this simulator, the soldiers find themselves in the middle of a real fight and are forced to use all their abilities and skills.

All battalion units, including the active backup, take part in the exercise. Soldiers from the 13th Artillery Regiment in Jince, the 22nd Helicopter Base in Náměšť nad Oslavou, the 151st Engineer Battalion in Bechyně, the 41st Mechanized Battalion in Žatec and the 42nd Mechanized Battalion in Tábor also take part in the exercise.
