Politics Climate Hysteria Debunked Yet Again ....

Just wait until they figure out a way to split out the car charging portion of your "home energy bill" and then apply a "mileage tax" or whatever else they want to call it.

On top of that, of course they are going to bill you more per kWH when it is convenient to you to charge your car.

I bet money that people will start buying portable power generators (that, ironically run on fossil fuels) to charge their electric cars.
Every car will have a black box and feed the info directly to your Government as soon as it is plugged in to be charged

I want to see how they move this forward as there will be a pretty lucrative market for a device to circumvent this...........

I am looking to build a new house and the whole south facing roof will be solar - there is a company in the UK that make modular panels as a replacement roof - at that stage I will put battery storage in the basement. Electricity board want £20K to put a cable in, so I would rather spend that on 8-12 kwh of panels and storage at around £10K+

Pro tip: Don't use photovoltaic panels unless you're living in Cornwall or somewhere very far down south. At higher latitudes, it doesn't make any sense to cover small areas like private house roofs with electric solar panels since the solar radiation income and thus the net gain is just too small. You'd need a farmer's barn or a cow stable to make money off it. Solar-powered heating though does work to support the generic warm water boiler you'd install in the house. I.e. the roof panel consists of special water pipes that collect the solar energy. However, neither of them will probably be very effective in winter.

Also looking at ground source pumps as well - but thanks for the info

If they let me build what I want, it will be 20m long by about 7m wide - L shaped barn - had a lot of hassle with planning permission last time, ending up with a Government inspector who ruled fully in my favour - I hate planning officers, scum of the earth. It's not like I am going to build something that looks rubbish or is not built to an A+++ standard

My neighbour has just had the same issue, and he is building something that looks like a barn - but he has to clad it in wood and distress it to make it look old - ffs. I want to build in stone and not have constant maintenance issues.

Don't even know why they give extension rebellion oxygen to be honest

Where I used to work, the teachers used to bring school kids to reception every Friday to 'protest'

They gave up after a couple of weeks of verbal abuse

First week, I told them to 'feck off and kill themselves if they wanted to save the planet'

Apparently I upset them every week when they got in my way when I came back with my dinner
(Meat is murder, look at my burger .........)

Let's start with goat herders and Iranians and then work my way down my list

Seriously though, if you want to save the planet you need to be killing off 6bn people at some stage - It's going to look like Logan's Run

Funny how they are not mentioning this FACT

This guy, municipal representative of a town in France is extremely worried about the impact of the arrival of the Taliban in Afghanistan

Translation.

"obscurantism is at the gates of power in Afghanistan. It is very concerning. France must welcome its fair share of political refugees wishing to come."

And the grand finale:

"Jihad is a major obstacle to the ecolological transition the planet needs"

He nailed the heart of the problem.

So, jihad is the problem? I had been thinking that, but I didnt want to say anything....
All this time I thought it was jet-setting elites who fly around the world on a daily basis, sometimes launching themselves into space, who like to tell the rest of us that they know better, and that we just need to do as they say. Dont worry, just keep producing and consuming, the elites have a plan, and its all going just like clockwork...

And he worried that world leaders would "just talk" when they meet in Glasgow in November for a crucial UN climate conference.

Well, that's pretty much what they only do during these conferences, and that's the only thing that comes of these. Lots of talking, pious and virtuous vows, papers signed, clappings clappings, all you can eat buffet.

All in all he is right; the creation and proliferation of such movements and activists groups are understandable, their mounting frustration and growing "radicalization" as well. But as he said: it is not helpful, if not clearly counter-productive.

But Prince Charles is also someone who has been pretty invested in that field. Notably through his approach on farming and plant growing, in a more biological/natural way. If I remember correctly, I'll have to check my notes from way back when, he was one of the proponent, leading figure or innovator in that field, by "re-introducing" it in an era when agriculture and farming was mostly oriented toward a mass-production approach.

And though his initiatives are great, some of them being really impressive (the stuff he did with his Volante for instance), they are expensive and barely affordable, investment wise, to the everyday folks. You may be able to convert your house (as long as you own it, as opposed to renting it) but it requires lots of work, it is limited to actual houses (so, no apartment) and maybe/possibly house that are not part of a lot (in other words: stand alone houses, and not houses stuck to one another).

Government releases draft emissions plan, including scheme to scrap cars

"Banning new gas connections, getting people to cut their car use by a fifth, paying people to scrap their dirty cars, capturing gases emitted by landfills, and planting a whole lot of trees are suggestions floated by the Government to drag New Zealand's persistently high greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050.

Four years after taking office, two years after passing the Zero Carbon Act, and four months after receiving the Climate Change Commission's final advice on how the economy can move to net zero emissions the Government has declared its hand, releasing a series of targets and policy suggestions that show how much it wants to cut emissions by, and how it plans to get there."

Right now they can plant never to be harvested trees on some of the most efficient farmland in the world.
Taxcindy wants to end gas next. An actual green energy.
Less food and warmth. Two of the most basic needs.
