What really narks me off is that the UK government has just announced its spending plans, and it will put Foreign Aid back up to 0.7% GDP

At the same time, it is not honouring its election pledge to our own elderly - but seem happy to make life more comfortable and warm for some randoms in other countries - including China - BoJo just lost the next election

And I seriously thought St.Bob and his Live Aid gang were going to solve global famine ? - all they did was keep people alive to breed more :rolleyes:

That’s an optimistic point of view and I’m personally more interested in having BoJo for some more years, even as an outsider than Labour.

For the sake of England. BoJo may be sort of a clown, but has had remarkable policies for the UK until about now as BCNTM stated.

Labour? Sure… they have had Tone Bliar, Gordon Brown and I’m not quite sure which of these two actually screwed up the UK more.

Sadly, one shouldn’t ever underestimate the stupidity of the population and even England could elect some Labour greenie leaning tool to lead England.

Would have saved the embarrassment of the Israeli delegate who was unable to get in the building as there was no disabled access :rolleyes:

All I see is more taxes for us - and more pollution from China etc.

I have no idea why they picked Glasgow of all the places to host it. London would have probably posed a safety issue so to speak as the « Youth for climate » March if it had taken place there would/could have turned badly regarding rioters, Antifa, Extinction Rebellion and so forth.

If a city has to burn, better be Glasgow…
