Despite a highly reduced road traffic and an air traffic down to almost 0, the Ile-de-France and Grand Est regions still registered pollution spikes.

I think the culprit is in the East...where the temperatures dropped...and where coal is used..even in Germany because of nuclear power is really baaaad.
But in Paris, coal is not that widely used, is it?
Fuel, eventually? Especially in the suburbs?

And what's false about that? If there's less traffic and less human presence, wild animals are more prone to entering our "habitat". Just like wild boar looking for food are more likely to turn up on a villager's doorstep than on a city-dweller's.Anyone noticed a array of articles and video's falsely proclaiming that because of the lockdown .. Animals are now entering towns , Turtles seen on beaches that haven't been seen in years and .. latest one .. an article claiming an Photograph of Mt Everest is the first time in 30 yr's that such am image has been made possible .. . claiming due to lock down ..
Nothing is false. Unusual encounters have been made. Animals always try to expand or at least explore new territories for food, shelter.... A lot of these explorations are hindered by human activities or presence. Now it is quieter, fin whales have been seen where they didnt came before, deers, foxes, pumas, too. More hedgehogs and toads moving were noticed (rather than smashed as roadkills). Even a what looked like a blue fin shark entered the harbor of Menton for a little inquisitive tour. And what's false about that?
