Exército Brasileiro (Brazilian ground troops) received the 300th VBTP-MR (Viatura Blindada Transporte de Pessoal - Média de Rodas) combat vehicle from Guarani 6x6 from the manufacturer Iveco Veículos de Defesa. The vehicle was assembled at the plant in Sete Lagoas, in the state of Minas Gerais.
Guarani supplies for Exército Brasileiro started four years ago. The vehicles are delivered under an agreement concluded by the Ministry of defense of Brazil with Iveco Veículos de Defesa. The Brazilian army is demanding 2044 combat vehicles of this model.
Brazilian Guarani will be delivered in various versions, including a combat vehicle equipped with remotely controlled REMAX weapon modules with 7.62-mm machine guns and 12.7-mm wkm from Ares Aeroespacial e Defesa, Elbit Systems company, as well as a command, communication and artillery vehicle.
