Photos Armenia v Azerbaijan

Stumbled upon this while looking at some impartial reporting. This a full blown war, but the "civilized world" doesn't seem to care. Anyway, here is some absolutely "reliable and truthful" reporting from Armenian side.

Jihadist mercenaries mutiny in Azerbaijan, start looting villages and try to impose Sharia Law

2S7 Pion 203mm?

Yup.

...

If I have to make a brief analysis on a scenario of escelation the biggest leverage of the Armenians have are Iskander-K and Tochka short range ballistic missiles that they have acquired around 30-50 units, plus oldschool SCUD missiles with poor guidance and operational readiness. To counter that Azerbaijan also has Tochka and Israeli LORA tactical missiles with the range of beyond 300+ km and Belarussian Polonez, Turkish TRG-300 and Israeli EXTRA-300 300mm guided MRLSs to accurately hit the targets around 100-150 km range.

In line with that information I guess it's a small change that we would actually see aerial warfare. Armenia has 3 Su-30SM out of 8 ordered and around 17 units of Su-25 and Azerbaijan has 16 units of MiG-29 previously modernized by Ukraine and Israel also fiitted with Turkish SOM stand-off attack missile to hit ground targets beyond 250+ km range and around 20 units of refitted Su-25s . However both of these countries have pretty decent SAM sites, for Armenia it's 2 batteries of Russian donated S-300V plus 3+ units of TOR M2E and other old stuff ilke S-125/75 and OSA-AKM. For Azerbaijan they have 3 batteries of updated S-300PMU2, at 2+ batteries of Israeli Barak 8, 3 batteries of BUK MB, and 4+ units of TOR M2E along with the other old stuf like modernized S-125, Krug and OSA AKMs..

And also the situaiton given would be possible to see the performance of modern Russian (S300 + TOR M2) and Israeli (Barak-8) SAMs when it comes to inercept short range ballistic missiles.

Current situation in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan has been able to re-exert its sovereignty in Green acreas- occupied Azeri territories within first 24 hours.
The United Nations views Nagorno-Karabakh as Armenian occupied Azerbaijani territory.

A nice reading summarizes the conflict from Azerbaijani point of view.

"I see that some people in the West express their support for Armenia purely because Armenia is a "Christian" country and Azerbaijan is a "Muslim" country.

In fact, of course, everything is much more complicated. In this conflict, neither religion nor ethnicity plays any role.

First of all, both countries are secular and none of the country have an official religion. Armenia is tacitly supported by Muslim Iran and Lebanon, as well as Christian Russia, while Azerbaijan is supported by Muslim Turkey and Pakistan, Israel and Christian countries like Ukraine and Italy. At least from this one you can understand that the conflict has no religious connotation.

Then some people say that not only Azerbaijan has a conflict with Armenia, but also Turkey doesn't have good relationship with Armenia. Both Azerbaijan and Turkey are mainly turkic countries, and here the factor of ethnic conflict allegedly enters, which is also not the case. The Azerbaijani army consists of Azerbaijani citizens of different nationalities. One of the famous heroes of the Karabakh war is a Jew and a monument to him was erected in Baku. While countries as Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, which are Turkic countries, are the official military allies of Armenia.

The conflict is purely territorial and the war is taking place exclusively on the territory of Azerbaijan. The main motivation for the war among Azerbaijanis is to return home. 30 years ago, Azerbaijanis were driven out of their homes and they want to return home. The whole world recognized and recognizes Karabakh as the territory of Azerbaijan. Armenia itself, having entered the UN, recognized the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

If you are in doubt about the words mentioned here, we advise you to read various articles on this topic from all sides and draw your own conclusions."

So 3rd day and still no significant (if any) success for Azerbaijan? It looks to me that fighting is stil on first layer of defense.
