... the Turko-American relationship has never been worse than now. Washington isn't going to side with Turkey over Erdogan's latest folly. They'll sit this one out....
Actually It was way worse after the Cyprus invention of 1974 which resulted of US imposal of sanctions and ambargo on every items imported from US to Turkey for 7 years and as a return of that all of the US bases in Turkey including Incirlik which US had storage of her biggest overseas nuclear arms closed up until the 1980 coup which was backed by USA.
I wouldnt bet on that. Azerbaijan attacked Armenia and they are Turkish puppet. And Turkey isnt most loved EU and USA partner now.
Another misinformation. Aliyev regime is acting mostly on it's way of autonomousity and closer to Russia than Turkey bcs they overthrew and exiled the elected Azeri president Elfuz Elçibey who-was a pro-Turkic with the support of Russia in early 1990s.
About the bilateral relations btw Turkey-Azerbaijan yes it's close as a part of Turkey's balance policy in Caucasus but not that close for ex. you even need to get visa approval to visit Azerbaijan if you are a Turkish citizen.
And another thing they launched an assault in order to take back the Nagarno-Karabakh region which was originally within the territorial borders of the Azerbaijan but occupied by Armenian forces since Nagarno-Karabakh war of 1992 and 1994 ceasefire.
