Photos Armenia v Azerbaijan

... the Turko-American relationship has never been worse than now. Washington isn't going to side with Turkey over Erdogan's latest folly. They'll sit this one out....

Actually It was way worse after the Cyprus invention of 1974 which resulted of US imposal of sanctions and ambargo on every items imported from US to Turkey for 7 years and as a return of that all of the US bases in Turkey including Incirlik which US had storage of her biggest overseas nuclear arms closed up until the 1980 coup which was backed by USA.

I wouldnt bet on that. Azerbaijan attacked Armenia and they are Turkish puppet. And Turkey isnt most loved EU and USA partner now.

Another misinformation. Aliyev regime is acting mostly on it's way of autonomousity and closer to Russia than Turkey bcs they overthrew and exiled the elected Azeri president Elfuz Elçibey who-was a pro-Turkic with the support of Russia in early 1990s.

About the bilateral relations btw Turkey-Azerbaijan yes it's close as a part of Turkey's balance policy in Caucasus but not that close for ex. you even need to get visa approval to visit Azerbaijan if you are a Turkish citizen.

And another thing they launched an assault in order to take back the Nagarno-Karabakh region which was originally within the territorial borders of the Azerbaijan but occupied by Armenian forces since Nagarno-Karabakh war of 1992 and 1994 ceasefire.

I disagree. Love messages between Erdogan and Azeris are all you need to see that facts are different.

Nonsense. The last thing the isolationist Donald Trump wants to be associated with prior to the upcoming elections is a war Russia has a stake in. Besides, the Turko-American relationship has never been worse than now. Washington isn't going to side with Turkey over Erdogan's latest folly. They'll sit this one out.
Cant imagine anyone in EU or Nato helping out on this, as both countries begin with A, most of us cant understand it anyway. Just looks like a waste of lives and treasure.

I wasnt a tanker, so maybe one can comment, but wouldn't smoke be of some use, when being picked off?
Top tip don't go to war in anything Russian - the proof is in the footage

Smoke is not going to help them they need close air support and some different tactics

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliev has declared that the Karabakh escalation should be resolved in a UN Security Council resolution. This is in sharp contrast to previous statements promising to keep going until Karabakh is captured.

As I said they maintain an image of "good relationship"in international arena as It should be but in state level there is not such a thing or at last not deep enough like it stated. One of the clear examples of that is Azerbaijan's strong relationship with Israel that is also one of the two major arms suppliers of Azeris alongside with Russia and same Israel appears to be one of the top states on Turkey's hate list for roughly a decade.

obviously limited info in the vids, but they seem to be a bit'lost'? My mates tank went up, i'd be full throttle backwards, and laying smoke etc as fast as I could. Did they expect no defense?

That's what you have reccon units for and uav cover - from the footage I have seen the defence seems to have been very well coordinated and quite swift in knocking out the armour in front of them - sad thing is each of those vehicles had crew and I don't give them any chance of survival

Back in September 2 , the new Greek ambassador presented his credentials to Azerbaijan and the Azeri president against diplomatic protocol attacked him verbally saying, '' we are allies and brothers of Turkey, we support Turkish actions on Cyprus/Med while Greece and Cyprus have a strong military cooperation with Armenia'' He also complained because (the Azeris are bitter) they won the tender for gas pipelines in Greece back in 2013 but it was cancelled.

The Turkish FM Cavusoglu thanked him for this statement.

So the alliances are present and clear.

Our Foreign ministry lost a great chance to enter the Guinness book of records, they should recall our ambassador at once after the ceremony.:)Gimme back the dossier with my credentials , i was called back lol.

2020 madness is blooming.
Turks who are mostly Sunni support Azeris who are mostly Shia against christian Armenians.
Iranian Shia support christian Armenians against Azeris who are mostly Shia.
And now Saudi Sunni who supposed to be irreconcilable enemy of Iranian Shia support christian Armenians against Sunni Turks just like Iranian Shia do.

Actually, alliances are complex and are not defined specifically by religious terms. Take the Bosnian conflict for example. The Saudis backed the Bosnian Muslims, as did Shia Iran, and Turkey. But you can always draw conclusions if you check the opponents. The Bosnian Serbs were aided by the Greek intelligence service, the Ukranian secret service and by the Mossad.
