U.S. Army soldiers from 1st Infantry Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Mobile Brigade, 25th Infantry Division; Philippine Army soldiers from the 1st Scout Ranger Regiment; and with Philippine Marines conduct a maritime key terrain security operations training on Calayan, Philippines, May 24, 2025, in support of Exercise "Salaknib 25". The training enhances interoperability and lethality through realistic, combined operations and strengthens the long-standing partnership between U.S. and Philippine forces in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
"Salaknib 25" is an annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. Military designed to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
