HMS Hermes, a former British flagship came to service in 1959 & was operational till 1986 until it was sold to India with the renaming as INS Viral & went to be scrapped in 2021. During Falkland war she played vital role. The picture shows preparation of troops prior to a commando operation.

The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CV-6) being towed to the Brooklyn Navy Yard . After her second "Magic Carpet" trip Enterprise entered the New York Naval Shipyard on 18 January 1946 for deactivation, and was decommissioned on 17 February 1947.
