A view of the bow of the amphibious assault ship USS TRIPOLI (LPH-10) in dry dock for repairs of Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (Dubaî) to a hole in its starboard bow caused by an Iraqi mine. The TRIPOLI struck the mine on February 18 while serving as a mine-clearing platform in the northern Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm. The ship was able to continue operations after damage control crews stopped the flooding caused by the explosion.

The McDonnell F2H Banshee was a single-seat carrier-based jet fighter aircraft deployed by the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps from 1948 to 1961. It was one of the primary American fighters used during the Korean War. The Banshee was a straight-winged fighter with two engines, armed with four 20 mm cannons, and could carry eight 60 lb HE rockets or six 500 ib bombs. Length: 48 ft 2 in (14.68 m). Wingspan: 41 ft 9 in (12.73 m). Height: 14 ft 6 in (4.42 m). Max speed: 580 mph (930 km/h, 500 kn) at sea level.
The Grumman F9F Panther is one of the United States Navy's first successful carrier-based jet fighters, as well as Grumman’s first jet fighter. A single-engined, straight-winged day fighter, it was armed with four 20 mm (0.79 in) cannons and could carry a wide assortment of air-to-ground munitions. Length: 38 ft 10 in (11.84 m). Wingspan: 38 ft 0 in (11.58 m). Height: 12 ft 3 in (3.73 m). Max speed: 503 kn (579 mph, 932 km/h) at 5,000 ft (1,500 m).
