It was said about a year ago that Borsuk will be developed reinforced armor packages on the same solution as for the Rosomak. I haven't heard anything certain about active armor yet. As @Kofeina wrote - now the most important thing is to start introducing the new IFV.
The BMP-1 is already a museum.

Quick question: Does anyone know what it is for? What is behind this opened cover? I only saw it open while swimming and in preparation for it.

That is certainly true.
I am dubious about the upgrade scheme. Build Borsuks.
I guess smarter people than me know what's best though.

Unfortunately, I don't know. I wondered if it was a cannon ejection, but it would be an unfortunate location.

If it is only opened during swimming, it might be the air intake for the engine. Still an unfortunate location in my book since that opening may easily get hit by little waves.

I just found out what it is. It seems that is a backup sight! Very unique and non-standard equipment. Also, get info that a similar solution is/will be used only by Kongsberg on their turrets.

Thanks, great recognition.

I look forward to the new 35mm OSU35 and OSU35K systems being developed for the "Kormoran II" class ships.
