Does the amphibious nature of this vehicle preclude active protection systems?

I have not seen this increasingly common feature addressed in relation to the Borsuk, but maybe I missed something.

I think there may be non-amphibious variants coming down the road that might feature those systems along with better ballistic protection?

There isn't any APS made in Poland which is available to use right now and it wasn't specified by DOD requirements, and it would also only prolong testing and implementation and we need to remember that Army is in dire need for new IFV to replace BMP-1. ATM only defence system is OBRA-3. But you are also right, amphibious requirement limits what can they put on it.

There was some chatter about additional armour package for Borsuk which would rise protection level but nothing official. Also, armour on sides iirc help with buoyancy/displacement. They want to made Borsuk as much as they can in Poland and iirc there is APS being developed, so maybe in future.
