The operation to support Poles in the British Isles is called "ZUMBACH" - in memory of Jan Zumbach, pilot of the 303 Squadron
The soldiers were separated from the Territorial Defense Forces and operational troops. The mission's goal is to support British border and medical services examining drivers for Covid-19 disease. This is to allow you to leave Great Britain faster after a negative test result. The planned deadline for the implementation of tasks is December 27 with the possibility of extending it, if necessary, for another two days. The implementation of the above actions has been agreed between the ministries of national defense of both countries.

The soldiers took antigen tests, food and personal protective equipment with them. The group consists of paramedics, soldiers trained to collect samples ( tests for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus ) and drivers.

On December 28, the Armament Inspectorate of the Ministry of National Defense (IU MON) published information on the intention to conduct technical dialogues. The first one concerns the acquisition of a transporter for recognition of chemical, biological and radioactive contamination (TRSK), while the second one concerns the Remote Detection System for Chemical Contamination (SZWSkCh) and the Remote Detection System for Biological Contamination (SZWSkB).

According to the published information, the Light Armored Armored Transporter (LOTR), codenamed Kleszcz, is to be the base vehicle for the contamination recognition transporter, which is at the final stage of development work as a successor to the BRDM-2 reconnaissance vehicle. It is a vehicle developed by the AMZ-Kutno company called Bóbr-3.Bóbr-3 is equipped with a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a capacity of 7200 cm3 and a power of 240 kW, an automatic transmission, all-wheel drive and independent suspension. The vehicle is 6.9 m long, 2.38 m high and 2.5 m wide. The ground clearance is 400 mm, the weight ranges from 12 to 14 t (depending on the armor version, the permissible total weight is 16 t), and the range is 600 km. In the basic version, Bóbr 3 provides ballistic protection at levels 2 and 3 according to STANAG 4569, and at the level of 2A in terms of minimum resistance. Additional armor panels will increase the shield to level 3.
According to the assumptions, TRSK should be used to identify contamination with on-board and portable instruments, including the remote detection system, monitoring the contamination situation, taking environmental samples, marking contaminated areas and determining meteorological parameters.
