Francis James BEARD

D475 Francis James BEARD. Stoker K10768, HMS Emperor of India, aged 28 years. Born 12th March 1893 at Falmouth Cornwall to William Francis and Annie Beard nee Rule. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at Nangitha, Budock, Cornwall. Enlisted 13th March 1911 aged 18 years on HMS Vivid II occupation prior to enlistment, Labourer. 1911 aged 18 years lodging at Royal Sailors Rest Home, Fore Street, Devonport. Died 3rd August 1921 in Royal Naval Hospital, Malta of heat stroke, chronic kidney disease, caused by malaria and cardiac failure. His mother was informed of his death.
