Henry Samuel DEACON. Chief Stoker 296535 Royal Navy on HMS Blenheim. Born 24th September 1882 at Great Yarmouth Norfolk enlisted 9th January 1901 on HMS Pembroke II occupation prior to enlistment, labourer. 1908 he married Gertrude Maud Walker in the registration district of West Ham. 1911 he was residing with his wife and children at 4, Christmas Place, Gillingham, Kent, occupation, stoker, with the Royal Navy. Died 5th September 1921 at Mosta, Malta of a fracture to the base of his skull caused by accidentally falling from a motor lorry. His widow Gertrude Maud was informed of his death 5th September 1921.
At rest in Plot D Grave 476 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
