Buying something is starting to remind me of stories from the depression and WW2.
Inflation, don't worry. They couldn't get a hammer if they lost one.
had a saying. Allways put your tools back where you found them. They don't teach that in school.

Just had a price runner for a TV I had been watching since before Xmas - it was £799 - over Xmas most companies were listing as £549 in the sales - just got one for £489 with a £60 off eBay voucher from a LG approved dealer

Nothing special, just a 4K 65" LG 2021 model to replace the 55" one I have had for about 6 years which has developed a dark line (that was £1,800)

Not sure OH is going to be happy as she does not like big TV's - I would not have got away with a 75"

Just got to find the really long screwdriver to undo the two screws at the bottom of the VESA frame
(frame will take 100" TV as it is bolted onto 4 x 800mm stainless steel rods which are resined into the wall)

Trees.

Two Peach Trees, two Japanese dwarve weeping cherry trees, an Oriental Persimmon, four Honeysuckles and one Maple Tree.

A "Shaina".
Very nice - need to keep it somewhere where it won't get burnt - very good red colour and good strong habit as well
I have one down near the house - in front of the shed in a pot, so it does not get full sun

If you ever see 'Ukon' get one as it is a wonderful lime green

I'm going to start with what I have, and then I'll see if I get more stuff.

That's kind of the problem with plants: they are not that expensive.
So you buy one, then three, then seven, then ten, then twenty. And you end up with a sh*t-ton of stuff that you then have to care of.

So, yeah. I'll see. I'll probably get one at some point, but I also want roses.

Mate......your 3rd grade teacher is going to love you!!! ??

Eh, despite what you’d think I was pretty creative and uh, « smart » as a young boy. At least that’s what my then teachers keep telling me or my mother when one of us encounter them nowadays.

See what has become of me. Could have been so much more and better than a paper boy, an internet mod and a drawer.

Holiday sales must really have been bad - there are a ton of decent sales going on right now. Like this 16" AR-15 upper for cheap with free shipping. You can never have too many of them, right? ;) I thought I could resist the price... not a chance.

Going for the dissipator set-up?

^ Yep! Got a scope and a trigger kit already. Now to load more ammo!

There are persistent rumors the feds are going to require AR uppers and bolts be serially numbered so I figured it couldn't hurt to be ahead of the curve. Not that I needed a reason to buy this. ;),-usa

Four bits of Michelin branded rubber - NZ$1600 fitted. Ouch! Still my safety rests on these four post card sized bits of rubber to keep me on the road so I guess its worth it.

It had run flats fitted when I bought it. I HATED them with a passion that burned like Satan's urinary tract after a week in a Mexican resort. Stupid things translate every pebble on the road into a slam in your spine.

You own a BMW?

Bought a new one recently? I should have been an IT guy, these guys complain about their job all the time but apparently make up for that with nice wheels and ride.

Seriously I own what my friend jokingly call the « Gypsie SUV ». :(
