Not a particularly notable purchase but one I'm happy with. Have long been guilty of doing all of my shopping at the local big chain supermarket out of convenience but during lockdown have made an effort to go to local smaller businesses that are probably finding things tough. Yesterday was recommended a greengrocers that delivered this to my door with an actual smile for fifteen quid. Have already gorged on the fruit and feeling slightly ill.
Between this and discovering the difference in meat from the supermarket and from a local butcher, Tesco can do one.

The problem is that I live alone, and now I've got to figure out what on earth to do with it all.

Bought a Craftsman 26cc 4-cycle gasoline weed whacker (string trimmer) for use around Mom and Dad's farm, as per Mom's request. She actually found the US$99.00 deal in the Sunday adverts, and said it was time to stop clearing weeds by hand shears and sickle! Yay!

Seriously for a reasonable price (around 10k €uros) it’s a decent car. I am selling my old Peugeot for 2,000€ too, so that’s deducted from the Sandero’s price. Still a bit of money.

Not sure if really needed, but here I am, posing proudly next to it. The « Cosmos Blue » color is quite pretty at least.

I was interested in the Duster when I was there. Its always a mystery where a nation known for fashion and arts tend to have very utilitarian designed cars... Almost soviet like.

Damn man, what a shitty car! We have Renault Sandero in Russia, and it is very unpopular here. People tend to buy Lada instead.
Duster at the same time is a quite decent car for their price and is very popular.

Not sure it can be considered a "purchase" as it was more of a swap but here goes. I bought a Cardo Motorcycle comms gear last year in France (yes i didnt need it, yes suddenly nobody spoke english in the store except the cute lady...of course I bought a lot more stuff I never really needed). Anywho it was an order from a friend, who never really picked it up. Now my motorcycle is tired and since somebody borrowed it and took it to a long trip, was out of whack. Yes, im an idiot for letting people borrow my bike.

Now another friend who restors cars and who's family owns a large BMW motorcycle museum was looking for a comms gear for his dad as they just started riding together. I give him the cardo to see if they would like me and just pay me whenever... He saw the situation with my bike and told me to see what he can do. He then offered a swap... ok. Fair trade to clean the car and check how to fix the idle I guess.

The guy ended up stripping my bike, detailing it, stripping the carb and repainting some of it... damn bike runs better than when I got it brand new and looks new.

it only takes you from A-B and I prefer something inconspicuous - If you drive something decent you are more likely to be stopped by the police - also if I had something that was very quick I would not have a licence for long
