A couple of "reverse purchases", let's say.
I uprooted a tree a few weeks ago and kept the roots, for I thought they looked kind of nice and interesting.
Let them to dry off, then worked on them a bit. I mostly applied lacquer and wax. The idea being to have them displayed through some "mise-en-scène" as "living objets d'art".
Anyway, some friend of mine who is an art collector roaming galleries and other similar places got me in touch with one of his compadres who is into organic art.
Long story short, got to sell pieces of wood at an exorbitant price to some pedantic douche.
And also pictures, mostly of birds, though I didn't sell them, offered to a friend to use as illustrations for a book.
