Feb 29, 1968 - Operation ‘Tran Hung Dao II’ - Members of the 1st Plt, Co 'C', 2nd Bn, 27th Inf, 3rd Bde, 25th Inf Div, engage the enemy in a fire fight, behind the protection of hedge rows.
May 30, 1968 - Operation Napoleon/Saline. Marines leave the area south of Loi An after 3 days of heavy fighting in the area. They never took the ville and withdrew from it while in the middle of a fire fight. They were caught in heavy rain on the way back and walked out in the mud to a rear position. Fires were burning unused supplies and equipment they couldn't carry with them.
Oct 2, 1968 - Operation 'Toan Thang II' (Defense of Saigon) Commander, Co 'D', 4th Batallion, 12th Infantry, 199th Light Infantry Brigade (Sep), talks on the radio-telephone to elements of his company.
