Army Inf Training never allowed to group up like ducks in a row, one man could take out that whole line with one burst. In Vietnam one North Vietnamese machine gunner took out 35 men and they were spread out !!! That particular battle went hand to hand in the end and one North Vietnamese died on top of the leader of the American group. The machine gun nest was taken out by gunships of the 225th Avn Co with Rocket fire but after it was too late. The recon from the gunships warned the C&C that the area did not look good for an insertion but you know how that goes.
U.S. Marines with 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, I Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, participate in a 10 km hike during the 1st ANGLICO Basic Course at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Mar. 5, 2024. The course is intended to develop the proficiency of Marines and Sailors in infantry tactics, patrolling, small arms, communications, operations in the information environment, field craft, call for fire, HRST and other specialized skills.
As part of exercise "Freedom Shield 24", the 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division and the Capital Mechanized Infantry Division, (Republic of Korea Army), demonstrated combined combat capabilities through various maneuvers and gunnery exercises. The eastern seaboard of Visakhapatnam has become the venue for bilateral exercises between India and America. The naval forces have officially announced that exercises named “Tiger Triumph 2024,” involving the tri-services of both nations focusing on humanitarian cooperation in disaster situations, will be conducted until March 31.

Over the past two weeks the 55th Combat Engineer Company - Armoured, 11th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division participated in a battalion field exercise, executing a diverse mission set with our various ROKA partners.
