With the kind permission of Thom Atkinson I have added some excellent ohotos taken by Thom to an album titled 'soldiers Inventories' It is a pictorial History of kit issued to British Troops throughout the ages. They were made up of kit provided by Re-enactors in the UK and as such are likely to be very accurate.

@saiga Thom Atkinson is also a photographer and is keen on photographing re-enactment groups.
 
I remember these pictures... Some British website (I forgot which one) published his photographs just before the 200th anniversary of the Battle at Waterloo. Oh, wow :) Thanks to them I was able to find some parts of the equipment of a 19th century soldier during my stay in Waterloo :) Mr. Atkinson's photographs were very helpful.
