Other Post So, how was your day?

Drove an hour and a half each way to my gunsmith to drop off a rifle for ... stuff ... to be done to it.

While there I got to have a play with his new Sig pistol (not sure what model, I just know it was surprisingly heavy for the size) and to have a play with a WW2 Grease Gun (M2A1) - and the Grease Gun was VERY heavy for the size. I reckon it was heavier than my AR15 when I still owned one.

Yeah they are heavy for their size, the cyclic rate is fun though. I have access to one but has never even tried firing it... just dont get around the range in the past few years.

As for moms, yeah, one never really gets past the age of 13 years in the eyes of most moms.
 
First night out in several yrs


6.50 for a pint of cruzocampo in the pub and 7 quid in the downstairs club ..in Blackfriars in Glasgow ..

On the Saturday one of guys phoned a sickie saying his Gf was having panic attacks etc .
So he couldn't come in vI had a feeling he was FOS ...so that leaves 3 of us ..

Dinner for 40 and unannounced tour of 20 plus Restraunt , bar n RS . We got slaughtered .. it was a crap night under staffed etc .

Then i find out today that he sent in his notice in on the Friday by email to the Chef . And has the gaul to phone in on the Saturday .

And now am having to work 6 days next week .. after the Chef asking me earlier tonight i asked for Sunday off as last train is 10pm . Costing me 25 quid every time when i phone a private hire yet if i get a staff taxi ..It costs me 29 quid lol
 
Back from Crete, yesterday morning actually. Got up by 3am, slept almost through the entire flight thanks to quiet or exhausted fellow passengers. Refueled the piece of shyte on wheel, ran some errands and called it a travel day.

Crashed in bed yesterday by 8PM, it’s been quite the adventure again, along with meeting up interesting people in the hotel with whom we discovered new places down there renting a car. Good all around.
 
Around 3 or 4am this morning I rolled off the bed again. The second time this year ! My right elbow has a nice big wino bruise but other than that no damage. I guess I am going to have to get a bed with crib rails. I know one thing, I was sure sleeping good . My left lower leg bone had a bone bruise all last week and still swollen very bad yesterday but it seems to be getting better, the color has almost gone back to normal for the whole lower leg. The turd rolling downhill in the snow effect last night didn't do any additional damage thank goodness. I'm get to go and will take garbage to the road later this morning.
 
I finally called my best buddy from my old 121st at Soc Trang. Talked about an hour and a half. It has been 54 years since we last spoke to one another. He left about 4 months before I left and I lost contact. I'm not real good about calling people on the phone, my hearing is pretty bad so it makes it difficult sometimes to hear people. My sister in Arizona is the worst to talk to on the phone, she is 2 years older than I am. College Football was almost good today, LSU was scoring in the 40s again, but OSU let Tennessee kick their butts.
 
Finally wokeness has arrived in my job... past few flights I have corrected captain in our briefings with the rest of the crew as some have started using "Co-Captain." As in "Good morning Im Captain XXX flying with Co Captain Jim...."

Last time I checked, I left my 4 bars when this airlined furloughed my ass back in Covid and I'm back as a First Officer.

I wouldn't worry about it until I saw my pay check suddenly become smaller. :)
 
Chef went on Holiday yesterday . Even tho am working 6 days last day off was friday . He puts me on another 6 days without even asking me first !!! And my next day off is next thursday ...

Utter mince !!!...

Easier said than done usually, but I agree. I reckon Colin has been working for a few years there at least and the work environment doesn’t appear to be good. He does prep some tasty looking things.
 
The new guy that started last week ..

Becomes a no show ....
