Romanian sof snipers are currently undergoing a 6 week training course at the SF Sniper School in Georgia within JCET framework. The program includes shooting from air vehicles, mountain warfare and shooting in mountains, general marksmanship, tactical preparation and culminatory exercises. The purpose is to elevate the preparedness of special operations forces. In exchange Georgian sof receive parachute free-fall training in Romania.

Broadsword class Type 22 frigate Regina Maria F222 (Ex HMS London F95) transited Bosphorus towards the Black Sea. On September 2 in Augusta, Romanian Navy took command of 'Sea Guardian', NATO maritime security operation taking place in the Mediterranean Sea.

The international special forces exercise "Junction Strike 2021" has ended in Romania.
The main purpose of the exercise was the NATO certification of Romanian Special Forces - the Sea Special Operations Group and the Special Operations Component Command. Allied and partner countries have practiced synchronization of multi-domain SOF operations and tested their ability to undertake tactical and operational actions based on a crisis scenario.
Special forces from Romania, Georgia, Greece, Great Britain, Moldova, Portugal, the United States and Poland participated in the exercise.
