There is some preliminary talk of beginning a modernization program on the Leo2A5 after the A4 project is complete. The A4 has been a difficult learning process but they are almost reset to zero I believe.
I also read that General Dynamics has floated a proposal for Abrams production in Poland as an alternative to indigenous K2 production. With either path, one wonders about the ultimate fate of Polish Leos. They will certainly have more value refurbished and modernized regardless of their future.

The subsequent modernization of Leopard 2A5s to the 2PL standard has been talked about for years, so it's nothing new. However, I hope that the decision to choose the future main battle tank (M1 or K2) will be preceded by a thorough analysis and will not be strictly political (yes, I know, I'm old but still naive).
Although as I heard some time ago "16th Division on K2, 12th and 18th Division on Abrams, 11th Division on Leopards". I can already see ulcers in the stomachs of logisticians, communications and trainers... The "tank drivers" themselves will have to be trained to operate at least 3 different types of tanks... Not to mention field workshops...
As reported by the Armament Agency, on Saturday, January 6, a new transport of military equipment arrived in Poland, including 29 M1A1FEP Abrams tanks, 9 M88A2 HERCULES technical support vehicles with a supply of consumable parts and 79 M1240A1 M-ATV armored mine-resistant vehicles. On Monday, January 8, the unloading of the ship began in Świnoujście.
I know they probably shouldn't, but it would be nice to have a squadron or two of F-15EX once the MiG-29 are retired. There's nothing like a twin engine F/A jet!

Hmm...
I love seeing the MiG-29 and F-15 (and the single-engine JAS-39).
But I have doubts about the point of introducing the F-15EX. I know that the weapons load is impressive, but the cost of maintaining the F-16, F-35 and F-15 (and FA-50GF) would be too great in the context of the increase in capabilities. It's better to decide on more F-35s.
