PAF's Rose upgrade program includes upgrading 90% of the plane's composition including; adding inflight refueling, upgrading radars (allowing for BVR combat if required), new avionics and a complete EW suite. They proved potent during Operation Zarb E Azb and during the JK airstrikes last year.

That being said within the next 5 years they're to be retired, being replaced by Block II and III JF-17's.
