The soldiers in Finnmark are the first to wear M23 - the Norwegian Armed Forces' new uniforms. The distribution of the new uniform system started this week, and this was marked at the Garrison in Sør-Varanger today.

The new uniform system is called the Nordic Combat Uniform System and is a project between Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. The design of the uniforms is similar in all countries, but each nation has its own camouflage pattern.
The uniform provides better comfort for the soldiers, who are also better equipped against the weather.
