Norwegian Armed Forces have piblished 4 options how to strenghten the defence of Norway.

Tirsdag 8. oktober la forsvarssjefen frem sin anbefaling for hvordan Forsvaret bør se ut fremover. Her kan du lese rådet.

Alternativ A includes among other points:
Raising 5 more manouvre and 8 more support batalions.
4 more frigates
1 extra submarine
4 more air defence batteries
10 more maritime and 16 more tactical Helos
1 extra ASW plane

Since I am not Norwegian and have no clue about the context, I can not say when one of this options will be chosen.
Sounds interesting nonetheless, because the Norwegians are actually thinking about different options and I assume that one will be definately chosen.

The last week, the Army has been in Finnmark where they have been in contact with the other branches of defense.
The exercise, which was an unprecedented alarm exercise, will test to move forces at short notice.
