Warfare Northwestern Aleppo offensive (2024)

Russia is pulling back its military from northern Syria and posts in the Alawite Mountains but is not leaving its two main bases, four Syrian officials told Reuters.

If anything I've learned from the recent events, this is the very clear hierarchy in the tunnel construction quality in the "Axis of Resistance":
Hamas tunnels < Hezbollah tunnels < Syrian tunnels < Iranian tunnels.
It's almost like the quality goes down exponentially with the geographical distance from the "Resistance" epicenter.

Have to say these tunnels look pretty nicely made.

Kind of make me want to go on exploring caves and old underground quarries.

Nice! Looks like they're getting the gang back together.

Maybe someone will finally shut him up. He's like a cockroach that keeps crawling out of a dark corner...

- I received a phone call from General Giovanni Caravelli, head of the Italian intelligence service, at his request, in which he stressed his country’s support for Syria at this difficult moment, indicating that Russian support for Syria would be something that would not be forgotten.

- I've received a phone call from General Giovanni Cavarelli the head of Italian Intelligence Service (based on his request) where he stressed out his country support for Syria in this difficult moment. Explaining how important the Russian support for Syria will be in this moment.

An article from June adressing the same issues:
- During a visit to Damascus and a meeting with Bashar al-Assad and Husam Luka, the head of the country's intelligence service, Giovanni Caravelli, the head of Italy's Foreign Security Service, emphasized his country's and several other countries' desire to normalize relations with Damascus.According to media close to the Damascus government, Giovanni Caravelli, the head of Italy's Foreign Security Service, visited Damascus on Wednesday, May 28, and participated in a meeting with Bashar al-Assad, the President of Syria, and Husam Luka, the head of the country's intelligence service. In this meeting, Caravelli announced that governments of Italy, Austria, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Malta, Poland, and Romania are calling for the revival and normalization of their relations with the Damascus government. He continued by stating that representatives of the mentioned European countries have requested assistance from Damascus for resolving the issue of Syrian refugees in Europe and have proposed the idea of creating a safe zone on the outskirts of Homs, where European countries would provide what is necessary for reconstruction and creating safe living conditions in exchange for lifting EU sanctions against Syria.<br> Caravelli noted that European countries are pressuring Washington to accelerate the normalization process and adopt a realistic approach to the Syrian issue.

The last time someone tried to trample US interests in Syria they ended up losing 2,5 motorized infantry companies and a large vehicle column respectively.
The last time someone tried to tople Taliban in Afghanistan they ended up losing 2,5 trilion dollars and a 2500 Casualties for nothing.🫨
Would Trump do the same for bunch of Kurdish Communist militia? By the way, you also admit the US killed an Iraqi convoy for its own interests, so technically, the US has now invaded Syria? I don’t think they care the Kurds that much. I believe their only concern is to create a buffer zone there against Iran and drink the Deir ez-Zour oil.

Meanwhile Turks creat a good Christmas gift for Israel & US a brand new Afghanistan.

Turkish blood is not gratis. The Turkish security bureaucracy, apart from a few fanatics, operates with the wisdom of a 4,000-year-old state tradition. Well, they may delay taking action until tomorrow, but they never let anything go unanswered.

After the 2012 Turkish F-4 Phantom shootdown, Turkish relations with Assad deteriorated significantly.

They paid a hefty price for killing two Turkish pilots—so much so that their air force couldn’t cross even a single meter into Turkish airspace. And when the Russians tried to cross, what do you think happened?

In the 2020 Idlib attack, the Russians struck and killed 34 Turkish soldiers. But what happened in the end? Turkey swiftly broke Russia’s hand in Libya and Karabakh. If Turkey hadn’t provided not just drones but also intelligence and thousands of cluster munitions to Ukraine, how could the invasion have been slowed? As for Iran, while they were busy clashing with Israel, Turkey delivered a sucker punch by shifting their militants southward and striking Assad in Syria, leaving him floored.

Turks seem to be making a clever adjustment here because if they withdraw, they won’t be able to enter Sevastopol due to the war. Therefore, the only place they could go is Haftar’s Libya, and that doesn’t work in Turkey’s favor.

52 airstrikes were carried out overnight by the Israeli Air-Force on military targets across Syria, including targets in Damascus, its environs, and the cities of Homs, Hama, and Daraa.

The Peshmergas have always been strong allies of Western countries in that part of the world.
And their friendship and cooperation remains reliable despite the West tossing them under the bus one their usefulness has been outlived.

Anyway, putting the entirety of the Kurds under the symbol of the PKK is both disingenuous and dishonnest, for the PKK is only a very small part of the entire thing.

As for the US presence in Syria... they are technically, and officially, there since 2014. Though they were there a few years before that, with CIA organized training and support programs starting around 2012.

Don't mind Turkey while they're about to commit another genocide, a real one unlike the imaginary one in Gaza.

Gaza is "genocide"
Armenia they still deny.
