Warfare Northwestern Aleppo offensive (2024)

Not quite sure about the origins of that gun. But considering how it is fitted and how it is missing the usual accessories generally seen on Russian military and Wagner weapons.

At first glance that could very well be one of these poorly put together, Arab militia/irregular force/etc... gun.
What do you think about the Turkic and Chechen militants in Idlib? Do you think Turkey might train and support them, as it did with Chechens before 2001, to use them in Russia's Caucasus region? Or could Turkey possibly send them to Ukraine? Or is the CIA nurturing them there for a potential civil war in China?

Not sure about Turkey sending them to Ukraine. Not that they wouldn't go, but somehow the kind of warfare seen there (Ukraine) does not quite fit their preferred methods, and that would result in them not being able to be used at their full potential.

Being sent back to the Caucasus is plausible. Or they could be just stay where they are to bolster their forces and consolidate their gains, or even try to spread farther in the region and try again in Iraq and such.

But that's reading tea-leaves at this point. Even if an entity is backed by a foreign power, said entity still remains "sentient" in the sense that they can make decisions of their own. Their loyalty is not necessarily assured.

You ever heard of Jizya tax? Dunno FSA will let them gather this but YES islamists let non muslims live under Jizya tax & even under their own Christian judges & governor. I don't know what they would do to atheists like me 🤔 🤔 , but they consider Christians as followers of Jesus, who is a prophet from their own religion. I believe it's even forbidden for them to enter a church unless permission.
I'm an atheist, ergo I'm not bloody interested in storybooks about imaginary friends.
ANY religion, because it appeals to divine law, will only bring trouble to countries if it comes to power. Be they the Hungarian pedo-Christians, the bearded lunatics in Israel, the uneducated American neo-evangelists of MAGA, etc.
But what the POLITICAL Islam has become today, combined with underdeveloped societies, is nothing more than a thermobaric charge tied to an oil refinery.

With all the equipment shortages in Ukraine, I'm amazed Putler is messing around in Syria with air assets. I'm undecided if he has an actual plan or is just a perpetual sh!t starter.

As for al-Assad... should have stayed in Moscow, pal!

Following the news today, it appears as if the rebel's momentum has stopped. Perhaps there are not enough of them to defend what they've recently gained and may not be equipped for a sustained logistics train. It also appears that Assad forces with IRGC support are making a stand at Hama with lots of troops and armor moving in..

Or if the "equipment shortage" is actually real or not.

We are fighting the criminal Assad regime and removing the Iranian militias from our cities and villages in a way that guarantees the safety of our people and their safe return. We offer you to leave the city of Aleppo with your weapons towards northeastern Syria in a safe manner.

In return, we affirm that the Kurds of Syria are an integral part of Syrian society, and have full rights in common with the rest of the people of this country. We affirm to our Kurdish people in Sheikh Maqsoud and the rest of the towns in the city of Aleppo that you are our people, and you have what we have and are subject to what we are subject to, and we are responsible for protecting you and ensuring a decent life for you.

When you have to pull T-62 out of storage and travel to Iran and Best Korea if they could please send ammo?

These T62 aren't used in direct action, but rather fire support.
When used in direct action, the T62 are mostly used as "turtelized" path-clearing units and FPV magnets.

Ammo from DPRK and Iran were, for the former, mostly for evaluation purposes (same goes for DPRK vehicles) and for the latter, providing a sufficient amount of Shahed drones until homemade production could start and manufacture them in sufficient numbers for deployment.

Since the war in Ukraine started, Russia has never been running out of anything.
