Finland will be the host nation of Bold Quest 19.1 held in April-May 2019. Bold Quest 19.1 is a multinational joint fires interoperability demonstration and assessment event sponsored and facilitated by the United States Joint Staff.
The main location is the town of Sodankylä, from where the Finnish Defence Forces, together with the US Joint Staff, will lead the demonstration and assessment activities taking place in multiple locations around Finland and around the world.

The Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian Air Force organized the fourth multinational Arctic Challenge Excercise flight exercise on May 22 - June 4, 2019.
The national goal of the exercise in Finland was, among other things, to develop co-operative capacity in multinational air operations in a challenging threat environment and to practice host nation support in the Rovaniemi air base. In this video, US Navy Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 251 Commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel Roy Nicka talks bout cooperation between the Finnish Air Force and the US Marines as well as Finland's host country support during the Bold Quest 19.1 Event and ACE 19 Flight Exercise in Spring 2019. The provision of host country support is one of the statutory tasks of the armed forces.
