Dice one onion, two garlic cloves, a piece of 100 g of thick bacon cut in stripes.
Fry all lightly in a bit of vegetable oil.
Add 600 g of white beans (I took 400 g white regular beans and 200 g of large white beans)
Add one diced in small pieces paprika. And fill with water until ingredients are just covered.
Add one 400 ml can of diced tomatoes. 2 large spoons of Aijvar.
2 bay leaves a tsp cayenne pepper and a tsp of salt.
Bring to a boil and add 2 cut in slices kabanossi sausages.
Let simmer on low heat until it becomes thicker. Add a piece of butter to a pan and stir in two spoons of flour until it turns golden remove from stove and stir in 2 large spoons of paprika powder. Stir into the soup and let cook on low heat for 2 more minutes until thickening.
Easy to prep but always tasty, as an old relative of mine who visited St Petersburg in the 1970s and his Tour Guide was telling him: here in Russia we consider breakfast as if we started our car in the AM; you need to refuel to the Max early on for a whole day ahead of you.
Flan pudding not to be confused with the Dutch Flan.
I invented this savoury wild garlic pancake I used a classic (German) pancake recipe and added steamed wild garlic and cream cheese to the dough then salted it more than usually.
Made a tomato sugo spread it on top then some ripped apart mozzarella pieces and put it in the microwave until cheese melted. It's missing some fresh basil leaves in the pic.
