Lunch with the missus. Flank steak and something that the French call “Écrasé de pomme de terre”. A fancy word for mashed potatoes with as a side some salad and cherry tomatoes, although not exactly mashed potatoes as the prepping is different. The sauce on the steak would be shallot:

They made an arse of that Potato .. should be smoothed off and clean circle . And that Salad is lacking .. Especially for a French joint ..

I wonder what you paid for that MC

The chef hath spoken. ;)

It was actually quite tasty even though not too photogenic a plate. The steak was okay, and I paid 20€ including the booze. Not that bad a deal. I’m tired of chips so I opted for that potatoes instead.
 
What was the price of a packet of bacon ...this time last yr in America .. to what it is now .. ? I see that bacon price has increased 19.3%
