Happy Mardi Gras to you all!

It totally snuck up on me this year. We're going to have some shrimp jambalaya at home and some rum drinks or maybe a little beer.

It's a school/work night, so not very crazy this year!

Happy Mardi Gras to you too! As we are still in lockdown the kids made a "faschingsparty" in costumes in front of Microsoft Teams together with their teacher and class that was a nice gesture!

We also had a box of assorted Krapfen!

Yum! Two years ago, a friend of mine who is Polish got some very similar Polish (out of real Polish bakery in New Jersey or Chicago) baked good that comes out for the same occasion. He gave me and my wife a box of six!

Now we are supposed to be somber for 40 days....

Normally this would be carnival time in Nice with the famous King sent off to to the sea an burned. This year, the Kink is wait for it...wait for it...the carnavalovirus.

They can send it out to sea right now.

Nice’s carnival replaced by… a giant blue Covid sculpture
