The Special Operations Command of the Defense Forces of Georgia is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The solemn ceremony was held at the base of the Special Operations Training Center named after Major Gela Chedia in Mukhrovani.
Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani and the Commander of the Defense Forces, Major General Giorgi Matiashvili, congratulated the military personnel of the Special Operations Command on their anniversary.
In his speech, the Minister of Defense focused on the important role of the Special Operations Command and thanked the fighters for their exceptional professionalism, courage and loyal service to the motherland.
In connection with the jubilee of the command, the personnel were awarded with paid gifts and departmental medals - "Devoted to the Motherland", "Giorgi Ankshelidze" and "General Kvinitadze".
The guests also viewed the weapons and equipment of the Special Operations Command displayed on the territory of the base.
In connection with the professional day, the military personnel of the Special Operations Command conducted a tactical demonstration exercise for the invited guests at the training ground. The Minister of Defense also familiarized himself with the process of building a new military base in Mukhrovani.
The construction of the modern standards base of the Special Operations Command will be completed in 2026.

I really hate sites like Shutterstock, Alamy and Getty that watermark images on their sites that are images in the public domain, that they don't own :mad:

I share your frustration with that. Some FB pages do it too. Really annoying.
