I joined this group as for over 50 years I have been trying to track down a military book that was a favourite read of mine at my grandfathers, it had illustrations of military equipment with a logo that looked like a fish with FISH or FISHER making up the fish-like symbol . I have had no success till I saw an illustration of depth charge tactics with a link to this group but no further detail was available. Any help would be gratefully received.

Walkden Fisher (1913 – 1979) might be best known to downthetubes readers as as a cutaway artist in Eagle, as a modelmaker for the “Dan Dare” strip and as a contributor to Eagle – for instance, a 12-part series on “Running a Model Railway”, to the Eagle annuals (Number 3) and the spin-off books (Trains, Modern Wonders and Hobbies).
But he was also a talented cartoonist, his distinctive signature in the shape of a fish instantly recognisable.
