Politics Climate Hysteria Debunked Yet Again ....

There is hope..

Ruapehu Mayor Weston Kirton, Kawerau Mayor Faylene Tunui and Taupō Mayor David Trewavas met with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Regional Development Minister Shane Jones to discuss urgent action to prevent the mills and other export manufacturers from closing because of unsustainable electricity costs.

In Wellington for the Local Government NZ conference, the group told Luxon and Jones they were concerned for the central North Island economy and its communities.

The mayors warned that the WPI crisis was only the “tip of the iceberg” unless an urgent solution was found for other export manufacturers facing similar pressures.

“There is no doubt that the Prime Minister and Minister Jones are acutely aware of what is at stake,” Kirton said.

Interestingly the local Maori tribe a benefactor of much public assistance over the years offers nothing. Many of the employees are theirs.

Previously closures were met by polititians...ho hum sad bye.

NZ First to their credit recognizes this is a blip in costs caused by green labour ignorance and are trying to fix it.

Actually I'm pretty sure all the iwi groups up there will be doing all they can to help support people.
The Crown doesn't seem to be in much rush to regulate the market and bring the prices down........ wonder if thats cause they don't want to upset their mates that they sold half the shares to last time they were in power or the fact that they are still heavily invested themselves being major shareholders?

Local iwi are sitting on an ample hydrothermal power supply. Cut a deal with the local line company, create an amicable supply contract and solved. Or wait till they both go bust then bingo. First demand a handout.

All the supply contracts are signed and the limitation to use coal and gas that can fill the gap and failure to predict low southern dam levels until it happened. Consequently the power company is holding a legally enforceable full flush, the ambivalent shareholders sure to sue.

Gas and coal critical Megan Woods was too myopically distracted by solar panels apparently. Maybe they could enhance our sailing boat that can go four times the speed of the wind. Whatever her green magic solutions are not cutting it.

Both mills have closed now plus another waste paper processing plant which is moving the paper to Malaysia now... mainly powered by coal.
They claim a 10% EV fleet will be no problem, we currently only have 2%.
These bright futurists we have.

The fact that they attacked the parliament this way prove that they are inherently against democracy. They would like to make the decisions with dictatorial power. It's going to cost tens of thousands to clean this.

Because it's culturally important historical building, it is automatically investigated as severe vandalism and they might face up to four years in prison.

Environmental activists splattered the pillars and walls of Finland's Parliament House with a red substance on Wednesday morning.

The climate groups Elokapina from Finland and Sweden's Restore Wetlands claimed responsibility for the act, according to a press release issued by the groups.

The protesters carried out the act "to draw attention to the climate-disastrous peat mines in Sweden run by the Finnish state-owned company Neova", according to the groups.

They said that the paint used in the protest was water-soluble.
The pillars and stairs of Parliament smeared with red paint.

Statistical investigation published in Nature finds no detectable acceleration in global warming rates post-1970s.

A simple explanation for the simpletons who fail to understand the non-emergency that is climate hysteria
