5,000 U.S.S. Constellation aircraft carrier crew members on a Sunday afternoon picnic on board while cruising in the Gulf of Tonkin off the coast of North Vietnam. With air strike operation not scheduled until the following morning, and no underway replenishment scheduled to bring aboard stores, ammunition, or fuel, 'Connie' Navymen took the afternoon off, so to speak, and relaxed from the pressures of the long hours and hard work of seven-day-a-week combat operations. The picnic was held on the Constellation's flight deck. The men spent a leisurely afternoon dressed in swim trunks and cutoff dungarees, eating fried chicken and enjoying a talent show. Softballs and footballs sailed across the flight deck instead of aircraft. For them (Constellation's crew) it was a great day and refreshing pause in a war that is certainly no 'picnic.' Aug 4, 1966

(Again wrong weapon in the caption, it seems to be a M40 105mm recoilless rifle.)
