where do the spare parts for this Mig 29 come from?

In Poland, many companies supply components for servicing aircraft of Russian (Soviet) origin. The service and repairs of MiG-29 fighters are carried out by companies belonging to the Polish Armaments Group. The exact origin of the part is not made public.
As a curiosity, I will inform you that about 2 years ago, the Ukrainian border service (branch in Lviv) announced the arrest of a 46-year-old Ukrainian citizen from the Kiev region who was trying to smuggle parts to the MiG-29 fighters to Poland. The incident occurred at the border point in Rawa Ruska.
It has not been clarified whether the target recipient of the part was a Polish company or another country.

In addition, repairs of significant parts of MiG-29 are carried out independently in Poland, including Klimow RD-33 engines used for their propulsion (by Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze No. 4).

Interesting............ I have been wondering about some of this. With the fall of the iron curtain and the Soviet satellite countries that all retained their Soviet aircraft (especially the Ukraine) I've wondered but have never posted the Q.... How does the Ukraine now at war with the Motherland get parts, missiles and armaments for Soviet bloc aircraft and armor??? This post above helps!

By cannibalizing, endless re-builts and extension of service, on grey market mostly from Belarus, I bet, and of course some ingenuity if one is able to fit major components of the Western origin into the Soviet frames.

That's very interesting to read. The primary argument for Germany's sale of its ex-East German Migs to Poland in 2004 was the growing difficulty of acquiring spares and conducting maintenance. If NATO ally Poland could've provided those services however, I don't quite understand what spoke against letting the birds live out their service lives in the Luftwaffe. Particularly considering the fact they were highly sought after as aggressors.

I mean, some of those Migs pictured here could be the very same airframes delivered to the GDR in the late 80s, inherited by the FGR in 1990 and passed to Poland 14 years later. According to planespotters.net there are still some of them flying. As are way older aircraft in both Germany and Poland.

You're right. They are still flying - both from the original Polish fleet and those bought from Germany and the Czech Republic.

They were also bought parts from Romanian MiG-29 fleet which were removed from operational use and kept in storage as of 2003 as a result fo their diffuculties of getting parts for them if I remember correctly.
